Purchase your 2026 Quilt Show T-shirts here! https://ricecitydesigns.com/GSQA/shop/page/jewelofthesouth Gulf States Quilting Association (GSQA)  is a quilting organization that was established in 1984 to create, stimulate, maintain and promote an interest in all things related to quilts and quilt making.  The geographical boundaries of GSQA include Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and the Florida panhandle. The membership of GSQA is comprised of individual members that are members-at-large or members of  the network of GSQA affiliated chapter guilds.  Community events organized by GSQA include quarterly meetings, classes, quilt shows, seminars, workshops, lectures and retreats. Guest Speaker will Mary Pat Hampton.  She is a passionate Quilter, Teacher, Pattern Designer, mother, wife and owner of Threadgoode Quilting. She started crafting in the mid 70's when her Grandfather taught her to crochet. Mary Pat accredits most of her education to family members and friends teaching her different crafts and techniques including quilting. Formal training started in Jr High and continued into college and she's still learning to this day. She resides in South Louisiana.
