West Bay Rotary It was a great day for ducks! At the stroke of noon on Sunday, June 14th, all 3,000 of them were released alongside the falls and then funneled into the chute at the head of Camden Harbor to be scooped up at the finish line. When the feathers stopped flying, the first 17 lucky duck owners to get there came away winners: 1) Vanderbilt Beach Boat America! Boat America: completing this course can lower your boat insurance. In Maine, anyone born on or after Jan. 1, 1999 operating a boat with more than 25 hp MUST have a certificate showing completion of Boat America. This course is an introduction to how boats handle, boating laws and requirements, emergencies, and trailering. Cost: $40, includes Boating Course June 16 & 18 Suddenly in Command: basic skills and emergency situations including how boats handle, getting underway, docking, VHF radio, and required equipment are covered.
